Introduction
If you can log in to D2L Brightspace but do not see your current courses, or if you see courses you are no longer enrolled in, several common reasons may explain why this happens.

Why Your Courses May Not Appear
1. Course Access Timing
Students are automatically added to their D2L Brightspace courses three days before the official start date of each term.
If your classes have not yet reached this window, they will not appear.
2. You Recently Registered or Activated Your HuskyNetID
If you:
- just registered for a course, or
- recently activated your HuskyNetID
you will be added to the correct courses the next time enrollment sync scripts run (these run once per business day, usually early morning).
3. Dropped Courses or Old Courses Still Showing
You may see:
- previous semester courses
- courses you dropped recently
These typically remain visible for a short time until the daily script removes them. You can simply ignore them until they are cleaned up.
4. You Must Be Officially Enrolled
You will only see a course in D2L if you are formally registered for that specific section.
If you are not enrolled, D2L access is not granted.
5. Your Instructor May Not Use D2L
Not all instructors use D2L Brightspace. Some may use:
- email
- another platform
- in‑person materials
If you are unsure, contact your instructor directly.
If Your Course Still Isn’t Showing
If it has been more than one full business day since you registered or since term enrollment began, and you still cannot see your course:
Please email d2l@stcloudstate.edu with:
- Your full name
- Your HuskyNetID
- The course and section number
- A brief description of the issue
You may also check with your instructor to confirm whether they have activated the course in D2L.
