Introduction
To clear the email address auto-complete for either Windows or Mac versions of Outlook, follow the instructions below.
Instructions
To clear the whole AutoComplete cache in Outlook Application (Windows), follow the steps below.
- Open Outlook
- Click File > Options
- Click Mail > Empty Auto-Complete List
- Click Yes
To manually delete an individual entry from AutoComplete in Outlook Application (Windows), follow the steps below.
- Open Outlook > New Email
- Type the email address you wish to clear from the cache until Outlook displays it as shown below.
- Click the X to the right of the email address you want removed from Auto Complete cache.
- All Done. That entry should now be gone from the Outlook Auto Complete cache.

- Open Outlook
- Click Home > New email
- Type the email address you wish to clear from the cache until Outlook displays it as shown below.
- Click the X to the right of the email address you want removed from Auto Complete cache.
- That entry should now be gone from the Outlook Auto Complete cache.
