Getting started with GitHub Pages 

Who should use GitHub Pages? 

GitHub pages more closely resembles the outgoing ‘webspace’, in that it’s an empty container for your code. You’ll need to write, or obtain, the code necessary to display your site information. Like webspace, though, if you already know some code (or already have some in your webspace), it’s easy to get started. 

Instructions

1. Create a GitHub account: https://github.com/  

1. Click ‘sign up’ in the top right corner. 

2. We recommend using a personal email address, to keep your content available after you leave the university.
