Current Outlook Import Instructions

You are using the current version if “Try the new Outlook” is toggled off in the upper-right corner of your Outlook app:

  1. Go to: File > Open & Export > Open Calendar:

  2. Browse to where you have downloaded the ICS file and double-click on it. The name of the file is: academic-calendar

  3. Click the Open as New button:

  4. The calendar will now be imported into Outlook:

New Outlook Import Instructions

You are using the new version if “New Outlook” is toggled on in the upper-right corner of your Outlook app:

  1. Click into the calendar section:

  2. Click the Add calendar button:

  3. Choose Create blank calendar:

  4. Name the calendar Academic Calendar, ensure the Add to dropdown shows My calendars, then click the Save button. Note: The Color and Charm settings are optional.

  5. Click the Add calendar button a second time:

  6. Choose Upload from file:

  7. Browse to where you have downloaded the ICS file and double-click on it. The name of the file is: academic-calendar

  8. In the Select a calendar drop down menu, you will need to select the second option titled Academic Calendar. Do no select the first option titled Calendar otherwise all academic calendar events will be imported into your main calendar.

  9. Click the Import button:

  10. The calendar will now be imported into Outlook:
