Trouble Accessing Graduate Student Forms

Summary

Graduate students may face issues accessing required forms due to two main reasons:

Incorrect Login Credentials: Students must log in using their student StarID (e.g., ab1234cd@go.minnstate.edu) via Office 365. Using GA or staff/faculty credentials will block access.

Inactive Enrollment: Students not enrolled in at least one credit for over a year may lose access. To fix this, reset your StarID password and register for at least one credit.

Body

Graduate students at St. Cloud State University sometimes struggle to access necessary forms. Here are the common reasons for access issues and how to fix them:

Why can’t I access the graduate student forms?

There are two main reasons for access problems:

1- Incorrect Login Credentials:

To access graduate student forms, log in to Office 365 using your student StarID credentials. This means:
• Use the format: ab1234cd@go.minnstate.edu
• Do not use your Graduate Assistant (GA) or staff/faculty StarID credentials, as these accounts lack the permissions needed to access student forms.

Tip: If you're unsure which account you're using, log out of all Microsoft accounts and then log in again with your student credentials.

2- Not Enrolled for 1 Year or More:

If you haven’t been enrolled in at least 1 credit for a year or more, your access may be limited. In this case:
• Reset your StarID password at:
https://starid.minnstate.edu/
• After resetting, you must register for at least 1 credit to regain access to the forms.

What should I do if I’m still having trouble?

If you've followed the steps above and still can't access the forms:

• Check that you're using the correct student login format.
• Clear your browser cache or try a different browser.
• Contact the Graduate Studies Office for more help.
