Description

The sound in the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center is unrecognizable and worsening every year. The acoustics do not support proper sound and the actual sound system is archaic and does not meet the needs of our programs. Additionally, should there be an emergency in the arena bowl during a contest, the PA is not clear enough for fans to understand instructions.

The video board is entering year 16 or 17 on what is generally seen as 10-year technology. The video must be downgraded from digital to analog to show during contests, and the system itself regularly fails in the lead up to events. Daktronics can no longer replace many of the associated parts as they are not manufactured any longer. This is a priority in our comprehensive University campaign.
