Study Abroad and Financial Aid

Introduction

Study abroad and financial aid

Question

Is financial aid available for a study abroad program?

Answer

Financial aid may be used to help with your study abroad costs. Most students are only eligible for additional private loan eligibility. There may be scholarships for study abroad. We strongly advise you to determine your current loan debt before taking out additional loans to study abroad.

Once you are accepted into a study abroad program, the Center for International Studies sends a program participant list to the Financial Aid Office (FAO). The FAO will review your eligibility for financial aid based on the program costs and your current aid package.
