Is Orientation required?

All new undergraduate students are required to participate in orientation programming, which includes Advising & Registration Programs and Huskies First Four Days. Both programs offer in-person as well as virtual and self-paced options to accommodate our diverse student body. Students are assessed a one time $75 orientation fee to support this programming. The information and experiences offered through orientation provide students with the essential skills and knowledge necessary to be successful at the University.

New students will register for first semester classes as part of their Advising and Registration program experience.

Huskies First Four Days begins with move-in and continues throughout the weekend prior to the first day of classes.

New international students will participate in orientation activities hosted through the Center for International Studies upon arrival to the U.S. as well as our university-required orientation programs.

Graduate students complete a separate orientation program through Graduate Studies.
