Esports Workstation Troubleshooting

Introduction

This information is meant to provide some basic guidelines and information that will help Esports staff and players perform basic troubleshooting and report the results

Instructions

The Default Setting for esports workstations is to boot to ggLEAP Environment (ggLEAP is a disk-less boot environment where workstations boot to esports VLAN PC Image) with the exceptions of the 5-6 varsity workstations and a couple of additional workstations for local troubleshooting (troubleshooting and setup for varsity workstations will be separate from this process).

  • Current Varsity Rocket League Competition PCs to boot locally
    • PC 02, 03, 08, 10, 15, 23
  • PC30 is currently set up to PXE Boot to Network with Local HD Option enabled as a Streaming PC.
  • PC31 is currently set up for ggLEAP Game updates and is not to be used for other activities and is not readily accessible for students.

    • If the boot order is changed for an event, it should be adjusted back following the event.

    • This option does not require a ggLEAP User Account.
      • Note: ggLEAP usage – user statistics will be limited in this mode.
