Processing Full-Time Equivalency (FTE) Requests

Introduction

Instructions for academic advisors on processing FTE requests from students.

 

Instructions

The Academic Advisor will be asked to assist with a Full-Time Equivalency (FTE) request to help CIS authorize a student to fall below a full-time course load (Undergraduate: under 12 credits; Graduate: under 6). The student provides the contact information for the request. The advisor will receive an email invitation to complete the approval form with Subject line: Request Advisor Notification.

The form will have two main components. The top portion will not change. It provides general information about the student: Name, Program Dates, Level (Undergraduate/Graduate) and Major (Academic Program).

The rest of the form will consist of other portions that will help the Academic Advisor make a decision:

  • Information- General background about the request.
  • Student submission- Information the student has provided CIS.
  • Questionnaire- Questions/information for the Academic Advisor to help CIS make an informed decision as to approve or deny the request.

Continue answering the questions.

Click Complete when finished to submit your answers.   

Click on “Approve” or “Reject” to complete the request. You will not be able to make any additional changes after your selection.

Once you have successfully submitted your responses, you will receive the following message: Thank you for completing this information. If we have questions we will contact you.
