Does everything I tell my counselor remain confidential?
Answer
Yes, everything that is said within a counseling session is confidential. The only exceptions to this privacy include:
- If we think you are at imminent risk of harm to yourself or another person
- When court ordered
- When abuse or neglect of children or vulnerable adults is involved
- If we become aware of inappropriate chemical abuse while you are pregnant
- With a signed release from you
