Question

What does the Pell Grant "Lifetime Eligibility Used" (LEU) mean?

Answer

Six or more full-time equivalent years of federal Pell Grant is called your Lifetime Eligibility Used (LEU). Once you reach your Pell Grant LEU, you are no longer eligible for the federal Pell Grant.

If you are ineligible for the Pell Grant because you have reached your Pell LEU, you are also ineligible for the federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) since you must be eligible for the federal Pell Grant.
