Azure STEM Student Resources

Introduction

 

As a STEM student, i​​f you are looking for Microsoft software to use outside of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. This package will allow you to access Microsoft Project, Visio, Windows Server, etc. You can use this new accessible site, Microsoft Azure.  Follow the steps below to access more software.
 

Instructions

 

  1. Go to https://portal.azure.com
  2. Sign in using your STARID@go.minnstate.edu (student) account and password
  3. Once signed in, navigate to the top search bar and search for “Education
  4. You then will be brought to a page where you can see your software, click the "Software" tab on the left.
  5. You should see all the software you are able to get. If you only see a few pieces of software, you may need to "Redeem the Azure for Students offer"

  1. Click that link and you will be brought to a page with "Activate Now" on the screen, Click activate now.
  2. Wait for the page to load, then fill out the form with your information, this is free, this will just verify you as a faculty/staff or student
  3. Once this is finished go back to the "Software" tab under "Education". You should now see a much longer list ~100.
  4. Click the software you would like to download, you can view the key (you will need for activate of the software but you can always come back here)
  5. Click the download button to start downloading your software and follow the instructions on the screen.
