Question

What does a student's GPA have to be in order to remain in good academic standing?

Answer

The best way to remain in good academic standing is to always go to class, complete assignments on time, and develop a good set of study habits. Undergraduate students must have the following minimum grade point average (GPA):

  • 0-44 attempted credits (including transfer credits) minimum cumulative GPA of 1.75
  • 45 or more attempted credits (including transfer credits) minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00.

NOTE: Certain majors may require a GPA higher than listed above.

Students must also maintain a credit completion rate of 66.67% (2/3) of all attempted credits. Review the Satisfactory Academic Progress policy for more information.
