Waiving the GRE/GMAT

Question

Is there a GMAT waiver?

Answer

Entrance exams are required on a program by program basis.

GRE may be waived at the discretion of the School of Graduate Studies and the program director if:

  • A graduate degree has been successfully completed at a regionally-accredited institution in the US
  • 5 years or more of recent full-time post-undergraduate professional work experience with evidence of increasing responsibility and upward mobility
  • Demonstrated high achievement in most recent undergraduate coursework

MBA Applicants

GMAT or GRE may be waived automatically in the application system and are subject to review by the School of Graduate Studies and MBA program director based on the following:

  • 3.25 GPA or higher (last 60 credits) on a business degree earned from an AACSB accredited school
  • 5 years or more of recent full-time post-undergraduate professional work experience with evidence of increasing responsibility
  • Successful completion of another graduate degree
