Am I Eligible for Work Study?

Introduction

Work study is a need-based financial aid program. You must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have a complete financial aid file with the SCSU Financial Aid Office.

Question

Am I eligible for work study funding?

Answer

Work study eligibility is determined by your FAFSA results, the date the SCSU Financial Aid Office receives your FAFSA results, and availability of funds. If you are eligible for work study, you will see it listed on your official financial aid notification.

Work study-funded jobs are available on campus and in approved off-campus community sites.

If you were not awarded work study as part of your financial aid notification, you are not immediately eligible to apply for work study-funded jobs. By October 1st of each year, any unfilled work study-funded jobs are opened to eligible students.

Contact the Financial Aid Office if you have questions about your eligibility for work study funding.
