Changing Admission Start Date for Undergraduate Students

Changing Admission Start Date for Undergraduate Students

Question

Can I change my start date for SCSU?

Answer

Admitted Undergraduate Students wishing to defer your starting date (starting term) may do so for up to one calendar year or three semesters – including summer term – from the original admitted term.

Domestic Undergraduate Students should email the Office of Records and Registration at registrar@stcloudstate.edu.

International Undergraduate Students should email the Office of International Admission at world2scsu@stcloudstate.edu.

Example email:

John Student

Tech ID or StarID # 12345678 or AB1234CD

I would like to move my starting term from Fall 2021 to Spring 2022.

Extensions beyond one year or three semesters – including summer term – from the original admittance term will require you to reapply for admission.  This is needed because your personal information – name/address/phone/major – could have changed.  You could have attended other colleges since the original admittance which will change your status.  We would need you to provide official transcripts from these schools as part of an admissions process.

Please note that your application will be cancelled approximately three weeks into your admitted term if you do not register for classes or email us to defer/move your application to another term.  You would then need to re-apply to St Cloud State University.

Please contact the Office of Records and Registration at (320) 308-2111 or registrar@stcloudstate.edu if you need further assistance.
