What should I know about using the computer in a classroom for teaching or presentations?

ITS encourages you to preview, test, and otherwise familiarize yourself with the classroom equipment and functionality prior to the start of the semester!

Instructions

• Touch the touch panel to begin
  • 
  • The screens will resemble the images shown below. By default, the system is set to the 'Computer' in the room.

      OR             

• If you're using AIRTAME, select the 'Wireless Presentation' option. For assistance, refer to the Knowledge Base article on "setting up an AIRTAME session".
  • 
• If you have a laptop, please select the 'Laptop HDMI' option.
  • 
    • Make sure you connect the HDMI cable to your device!
• Log into the Desktop computer using your starID/PW
• When your class is done, log out of the desktop computer and shut down the TouchPanel
• 

Tips:

• Audio
  • Select your volume icon on the device 

    • To hear audio through the classroom speakers, please select the following playback device

      • Ensure 'ATL 1080P 2CH' is selected, as shown below. If not selected, audio will play from the device itself, which may result in a lower volume.

      • You can adjust the volume either through your computer's audio settings or the touch panel.
