- Default printing options are:
- 1 copy
- Black and White
- Double Sided ( Long Edge)
- Verify your settings before printing
- Color or Black & White (Monochrome)
- Single-sided or Double-sided (Long Edge)
- For 11x17 paper size, select A3.
- Once all options are set, click OK
- You can then submit your print job.
Can I print in black and white?
Yes. Select Monochrome under the finishing options before submitting your print job.
Yes. Select the color option under the finishing options before submitting your print job.
Yes, you can print by passcode currently at Atwood Memorial Center 139 (Hallway) and Miller Center 125 (24-Hour Lab). Please see HuskyPrint for Students: Uploading and releasing documents at campus printers step 2, for further instructions.
No. Students now receive more printing credit than before. Previously, you had $8.00 in printing dollars; now you get 900 points (≈$9.00) plus 100 bonus points if you go over, so $10.00 total.
Costs stayed about the same, except duplex black-and-white printing went from 7¢ to 8 points (8¢) because the new system charges per side.
Tip to save points:
- Print in monochrome (black & white) whenever possible.
- Color costs 25 points per page vs. 4 points for monochrome.
- Check finishing options before submitting your job.

No refunds are given; however, you can request more points added to your account via the Request Additional Printing Points for the Semester service request page.
Most common formats like PDF, DOCX, PPTX are supported. Avoid uncommon or proprietary formats, as they may not process correctly. The system will not let you upload a file type that is not supported. If you come across a file type not supported, please open the file and save it as a file type that is supported, or convert it to a pdf.
Common file size limits

PDF: Up to 250 MB
- Office documents: Up to 60 MB
- Image files (JPEG/PNG/BMP): Up to 50 MB
- Text files (.txt): Up to 10 MB
Because the old "Print Release" computers are no longer needed in our new system, this computer is for you to use as you would any other lab computer. Or you can use it if you don’t have your personal device:
- Log in and access the Pharos Print website (scsu.mn\huskyprint).
- Upload documents from OneDrive or other storage.
However, these computers are optional. You can upload your document ahead of time from your own device.
You can print directly from lab computers using the Pharos Print Desktop App. Log in with your campus credentials and follow these steps.
