SCSU-Announce/SCSU-Discuss Subscription Change Request

Overview

• St. Cloud State provides two university lists, SCSU-Announce and SCSU-Discuss, available to St. Cloud State faculty, staff and administrators.
• Emails that are sent to either list address, are sent to all who subscribe to that list.
• NOTE: If your email has changed, you will need to re-subscribe to these lists.

SCSU-Announce

This electronic list serves as a resource for faculty, staff and administrators to communicate announcements that reflect the professional nature of their work environments.

• General announcements can be posted to this list from any faculty or staff account.
• The posting should not require or inspire an e-mail response to the whole list.
• Office or department mailboxes may also post messages to this list.
• List address: scsu-announce@stcloudstate.edu
  • Ensure you are NOT using scsu-announce-bounces@lists.stcloudstate.edu.

SCSU-Discuss

• This list supports communication between faculty, staff and administrators by disseminating messages that are created in the spirit of civil discourse. Items may include, but are not limited to, academic topics, opinion pieces, university policy, issues, surveys and postings intended to inspire discussion.
• List address: scsu-discuss@stcloudstate.edu
  • Ensure you are NOT using scsu-discuss-bounces@lists.stcloudstate.edu.

Bulletin Board

• The Faculty/Staff Bulletin Board provides an interactive space where they can post and view announcements, information and events in categories such as:
  • For Sale items
  • For Free items
  • Wanted items
  • Campus Announcements
  • Community Announcements
  • Lost Items
  • Campus Events
  • Community Events
• In addition to being able to log in to view and post items, you will also have the option to subscribe to receive “Alerts” in your e-mail Inbox about the items in which you are interested.
• For assistance using and posting to the bulletin board, after logging in, view the Quick Start Guide found under "Bulletin Board Help." Also available there are the Guidelines and Frequently Asked Questions.

Other Lists

• St. Cloud State provides self-maintained lists for many departments, workgroups and organizations. If you are interested in using a list for your group, please e-mail postmaster@stcloudstate.edu. Be sure to provide details regarding your needs
