Library Proxy Support

Overview

• If you are having trouble logging in to the library proxy, try the following troubleshooting steps or submit a ticket for assistance.

Requirements

• Faculty, staff, emeritus, prospective and current students are eligible for this service.

Procedure

• Select the Request Service button from the right side of the page.Fill out the form provided.
• Are you enrolled?
  • If you are not a currently enrolled student, you will not have access to library resources. Undergraduates can request an extension, while graduate students will need to enroll in a course to gain access to library resources. See this page for details.
• Is your StarID working?
  • Try logging in to the StarID portal. If there is an issue, contact HuskyTech for help. Solving this issue may correct your library log in problem.
• If you can log in to StarID portal, and you are currently enrolled,
  • The most common issue is an old password saved in your browser.
    • Type in your StarID and Password to double-check for typos.
    • Update your saved password or clear your cache
      • Clearing your cache deletes saved information in your browser. For help see the article How to Clear Browser Cookies & Cache (All Major Web Browsers) 
  • Try resetting your Star ID password. It may take several minutes for the update to work on the library site.
