How to Clear Browser Cookies & Cache (All Major Web Browsers)

What are cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored in your browser when you visit a website. Every time you pull up that same website, the browser sends the cookie back to the web server with all the information from the last visit.

What is browser cache?

A temporary storage area in memory or on disk that holds the most recently downloaded versions of the web pages you visit. As you jump from Web page to Web page, caching those pages in memory lets you quickly go back to a page without having to download it from the Web again.

Browser cache is usually overwritten when you reach a certain amount, but will store information about your browsing history until you clear it. Below are links to the developer websites of each of the major web browsers on how to clear your web cache and cookies.
