Workday access and training plans are based on security roles, which were assigned to individual SCSU employees by the institution's HR and Finance divisions based upon guidance from Minnesota State. Through the Friends of NextGen SharePoint site, employees can:

What do I do if I don't seem to have the right Workday training or access? 

Answer

If an employee believes there is an error in their assigned security roles or training plan, they should review that concern with their supervisor. If the supervisor determines the employee does not have the correct security role(s), the supervisor should contact NextGenSCSU@stcloudstate.edu with the following information: 

  • The employee's name 
  • The employee's position title 
  • The employee's current security role(s) 
  • The security role(s) that need to be added or removed for the employee 
  • A justification for each change, including
    • the business need for the employee to perform their job duties for a security role to be added 
    • the reason a security role does not apply to an employee for a security role to be removed
