As of July 2024, Workday will be the new system for employees to submit timesheets, request time off, view personal information and more. It is important for employees to be prepared to use Workday when it goes live in July 2024.

When do faculty and staff need to complete training?
Answer
All employees (faculty and staff) have been assigned at least five computer-based training courses within the State of Minnesota Employee Self Service’s Learning Management system (ELM). Some employees have been assigned security roles in Workday that require instructor-led training. This primarily includes employees in Business Services, Human Resources and others on campus who will perform business processes in Workday regularly.
- Employees who were assigned to complete both computer-based training and instructor-led training should complete their computer-based training courses by April 28, 2024. This will help ensure they meet the instructor-led training pre-requisite requirements before instructor-led training begins on April 29, 2024.
- Employees who have only been assigned computer-based training should complete their training by June 30, 2024. This will help ensure that they are prepared to begin using Workday upon go-live in July 2024.
