Introduction
If your printer’s paper tray is not pulling paper correctly, the issue may be caused by an incorrect paper size setting.
Instructions

Check the current paper size setting
- Verify what paper size is currently selected on the printer or in the tray settings.
- If the setting does not match the paper loaded, the printer may not feed correctly or may produce incorrect output.
- The arrows in the image show the paper size markings, and the circles highlight the green tabs you will move to adjust the size.
- Move the green tabs (circled in the photo) to align with the correct size markings depending on the paper you are using.

Adjust the paper guides in the tray
- Locate the green adjustment tabs inside the tray.
- These tabs control the paper size configuration.

Set the correct paper size
- Slide the green tabs to match the size of the paper you are loading (e.g., Letter, Legal, 11x17).
- Ensure the tabs are snug against the edges of the paper without bending it.

Use the tray size indicators
- Pay attention to the numbers and arrows inside the tray that indicate paper size.
- As shown in the photo, the tray is currently set to 11x17.
- Move the green tabs (circled in the photo above) to align with the correct size markings depending on the paper you are using.
- Reload and test
- Place the paper back into the tray.
- Run a test print to confirm the issue is resolved.
Additional Tips
- Always double-check both the tray setting and the print job settings on your computer.
- Misaligned guides are one of the most common causes of paper feed issues.
- Make sure the paper sits flat and is not overfilled in the tray.
