Introduction
Printing envelopes through Microsoft Word allows you to correctly position the delivery and return addresses and ensure the envelope feeds properly through the printer.
Instructions
Step 1: Open the Envelope Tool

Open Microsoft Word.

Select the Mailings tab from the top ribbon.
- Click Envelopes in the Create section.
Step 2: Enter Address Information
- In the Envelopes and Labels window, enter:
- The Delivery Address (recipient address)
- The Return Address (sender address), if needed
- Review the information for accuracy before continuing.
Step 3: Verify Envelope Options
- Select Options.
- Under the Envelope Options tab:
- Confirm the correct envelope size.
- Review the delivery and return address positioning.
Note: In most cases, the default address placement is correct and does not need to be changed.
Step 4: Configure Printing Options
- In the Envelope Options window, select the Printing Options tab.
- Choose the appropriate Feed Method shown for your printer.
- Important: Select the Manual Feed/Manual Tray option to ensure the envelope is pulled from the correct tray.
Manual Tray Reminder
- Load envelopes into the printer's manual tray.
- Follow the feed direction shown in the Printing Options diagram.
- Place envelopes face up or face down according to the feed method selected in Word.
Step 5: Print the Envelope
- Select Print.
- Verify that the envelope is loaded correctly in the manual tray.
- Submit the print job.
Step 6: Release Your Print Job
Once the print job has been submitted:
- Go to the printer.
- Open the Pharos Print app.
- Release the job using either:
- Your release passcode, or
- The camera/QR code feature within the Pharos app.
Your envelope will then print from the manual tray.
Troubleshooting Tips
- If the address prints in the wrong location, verify the envelope size under Envelope Options.
- If the printer pulls standard paper instead of the envelope, confirm that Manual Tray is selected.
- If the envelope jams, remove it carefully and reload it according to the feed direction shown in Word.
