What is my StarID used for?

Answer

The MnSCU system office provides a system-wide username and password, called StarID. At St. Cloud State University, the StarID is your unique SCSU username.

In order to access St. Cloud State University Online Services, all students, faculty and staff must activate their StarID. Go to the Information Technology Services get started page for further information.

Your StarID gives the user access to all of the following features and more

• Office 365 St. Cloud State University e-mail account
• Personal file and Web space upon the university network
• WiFi network that covers every building on campus
• Wired access for laptop plug-ins
• Campus computers, software, printers and scanners
• Online courses through D2L Brightspace
• Antivirus software
