How long does it take to process my federal loan if I just accepted it today?
Answer
Most loans are automatically certified after they are accepted. If your loan request remains at a “processing” status in your e-services after you accept it, it takes approximately 3-5 business days for us to certify your loan. During high peak process times (e.g., at the start or end of a semester), it can take up to 7-10 business days. After federal loans are certified, there is a two-day effective date before funds apply to your charges.
