Hours Per Week for Work Study

Introduction

Student employees (work study or SCSU student salaries) are limited in the number of hours per week (hpw) they can work.

Question

How many hours can I work for my work award?

Answer

You cannot work more than 20 hpw during periods of enrollment and no more than 40 hpw during periods of non-enrollment (e.g., spring break). This includes hours for all jobs paid through SCSU payroll. You cannot exceed the amount listed on your work authorization.

See the SCSU Student Employment Handbook for more information.
