Introduction
Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements for financial aid
Question
What are the academic requirements to keep my financial aid?
Answer
Federal and state regulations require that all students maintain satisfactory academic progress to be eligible for financial aid. The purpose is to encourage students to progress steadily at a reasonable rate toward graduation.
You must meet both the minimum qualitative and quantitative standards after each semester or term at SCSU in order to remain eligible for financial aid. These may be different than the academic requirements to continue taking courses at SCSU.
- Qualitative measure is your cumulative GPA
- Quantitative measure is your course completion rate and maximum time frame of all attempted credits
If you fail to meet these standards, you will be placed on financial aid warning or suspension. See the SCSU Satisfactory Academic Progress policy for more information
