Introduction
Departments, centers, programs, and student organizations may request a supplemental account to gain access to various university services, including:
- Web space
- Wireless network
- Library proxy
- MNPALS
- Other university-supported systems
Instructions
Student Organizations
- Requests for student organization accounts must be submitted and managed by a faculty or staff adviser.
Faculty and Staff Responsibilities
- Faculty and staff are accountable for all activity conducted under the supplemental accounts assigned to them.
Email Access
- If email functionality is required, request a Shared Mailbox
- Email setup is handled separately and will be confirmed via a follow-up email to the requester once completed.
Remote/Off-Campus Access
- Users must connect via:
- Direct Access (for Windows users), or
- VPN (for Mac users)
to use this application from off campus.
Logging into a Computer with a Supplemental Account
- For accounts created after August 2019: use the format
SCSU-"account name" to log in.
- For accounts created before August 2019: continue using just the
"account name".
