Work Study

Summary

What is work study funding?

Body

Introduction

Work study funding provides part-time employment opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to help them pay their educational costs. Jobs are available both on campus and in approved community agencies and elementary schools.

Question

What is work study and how do I apply?

Answer

Work study is a need-based student employment funding source. Work study is not a grant. Students earn money while working in on-campus and approved off-campus positions.

Work study eligibility is determined using information provided on the FAFSA. Funds are limited and are listed on a student's financial aid notification on a first come-first served basis. Filing your FAFSA as soon as possible after October 1st each year can increase your chances of receiving work study funding.
