Introduction
Faculty and staff can send documents to print from their mobile device to print securely at their department printer.
One-Time Setup Instructions
Important Note: To proceed with mobile printing, you must have already downloaded and logged into the Pharos Secure Release mobile app on your device.
Android Users
- Open the Pharos Secure Release mobile app and ensure you're signed in.
- Tap “Print a test page”.
- Select the HuskyPrint Secure print queue.
- Sign in using:
- Username:
StarID@minnstate.edu
- Password: Your most recent system-generated passcode (not your StarID password).
- This passcode is emailed by Pharos Cloud (emailed by
no-reply@beacon.pharos.com), (or reset manually)
- Once signed in, you should see a “Test successful!” message. You’re now ready to send prints to the HuskyPrint Secure queue.
iOS Users
- Open the Pharos Secure Release app and ensure you're signed in.
- At the bottom of the homepage, tap “One-time setup instructions”.
- Follow the prompt to allow the website to download a configuration profile.
- After download, tap “Close”.
- Go to your iOS Settings and tap “Profile Downloaded” (may be under “More for your iPhone”).
- Tap “View Profile”, then “Install”.
- Enter your iPhone passcode when prompted, then tap “Install” again and “Done”.
- Return to the Pharos app and tap “Done” if setup instructions are still showing.
- Tap “Print a test page”, select the HuskyPrint Secure queue, and sign in using:

- You should see a “Test successful!” message. You’re now ready to print.
Sending the Print Jobs from Mobile Device
- Open the document on your mobile device.
- Tap “Print” using your device’s print feature.
- Select the HuskyPrint Secure queue.
- Choose your finishing options (e.g. copies, color, duplex)
- Select "Print"
- Your job will be sent to the HuskyPrint Secure queue and can be securely released at your department printer at your convenience (i.e. it will not print immediately.)
