HuskyPrint for Students: Download and setup Pharos Secure Release mobile app to begin printing at SCSU

Introduction

To make printing easier and more flexible for students, St. Cloud State University has launched a new HuskyPrint solution. This service allows students to upload documents to a web portal and release them at any HuskyPrint printer using the Pharos Secure Release mobile app.

This guide walks you through downloading, installing, and logging into the app on both Android and iPhone devices. If you need help, visit HuskyTech for in-person support.

To use the Pharos Secure Release app, students must log in using:

  • Username: StarID@go.minnstate.edu
  • Password: Your StarID password
  • Note: Do not use your SCSU email address to log in.

You will be redirected to a Microsoft 365 login page where you must enter your credentials and complete multi-factor authentication.

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.
  2. Search for Pharos Secure Release and tap Install.
    • ⚠️ Avoid installing the β€œPharos Print” app β€” it is not the correct one.
  3. Open the app and enter your StarID@go.minnstate.edu username.
  4. Sign in through the Microsoft 365 login page using your StarID credentials and complete multi-factor authentication.
  5. Once authenticated, your device will be registered and the app will open to the homepage β€” ready to use.
