Faculty/Staff Printing: Using Secure Release & Direct Print

Introduction

St. Cloud State is transitioning to a new print solution, Pharos Cloud, in Fall 2025. The new solution will allow both Secure Release and Direct Print (sending print job directly to the printer for immediate release) for the time being. This Knowledge Base article covers how to print using Secure Release and Direct Print.  IT plans to have Secure Release and Direct Printing available for broad faculty and staff use (including student employees/GAs) no later than Friday, 10/31/2025, and send an email to all faculty and staff with additional information by 11/3/2025.
