Keyboard & Mouse Sanitation

Introduction

Due to the ongoing and immediate concerns regarding COVID-19, it is imperative that we ALL (Students, Faculty and Staff) do our part, and that we do it correctly while remaining vigilant with our own personal health and safety.

With this, we are encouraging that EVERYONE who intends on either using a campus lab computer, bringing a personal computer to campus and or even utilizing office or classroom computers, to take their health into their own hands for the safety of everyone.

Cleaning Personal, Lab, Office or Classroom Keyboards & Mice

Step 1:  Put your gloves on!

Step 2:  Spray Rubbing Alcohol on your microfiber rag. Don’t spray it directly on the keyboard or mouse, as this might damage it. Also, If you are cleaning a laptop, you should power it down before you attempt to sanitize.

Step 3: Use this rag to thoroughly wipe down the keyboard and mouse. You may need to apply more Alcohol to the rag as it will evaporate quickly.
