How do I get started using GitHub Copilot?

Step 1:Become a verified student or teacher, as GitHub Copilot is free to use for verified students and teachers. Please see GitHub Education Verification Instructions and Information to complete this step.
Step 2: Enable GitHub Copilot
- sign in to https://github.com with your verified account.
- in the upper right corner, click your profile icon/photo and select 'Your Copilot':
- You should see a message similar to this one:
- Click 'Get access to GitHub Copilot'
- Select your preferences and click Save.
- You'll see instructions for installing the GitHub Copilot extension for your preferred code editor.
