Clear the Outlook Email Address Auto Complete Cache - Windows and Mac

Introduction

 

To clear the email address auto-complete for either Windows or Mac versions of Outlook, follow the instructions below. 

Instructions

 

To clear the whole AutoComplete cache in Outlook Application (Windows), follow the steps below.

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Click File  Options
  3. Click Mail Empty Auto-Complete List
  4. Click Yes

 

To manually delete an individual entry from AutoComplete in Outlook Application (Windows), follow the steps below.

  1. Open Outlook > New Email
  2. Type the email address you wish to clear from the cache until Outlook displays it as shown below. 
  3. Click the X to the right of the email address you want removed from Auto Complete cache.
  4. All Done. That entry should now be gone from the Outlook Auto Complete cache.

 

To delete AutoComplete cache in Outlook Application (Apple), follow the steps below

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Click Home > New email
  3. Type the email address you wish to clear from the cache until Outlook displays it as shown below. 
  4. Click the to the right of the email address you want removed from Auto Complete cache.
  5. That entry should now be gone from the Outlook Auto Complete cache.
