Introduction


For the smoothest user experience in Office 365, Microsoft recommends using the current or immediately previous version for each Internet browser. Microsoft's list of absolute minimum browser requirements can be found at the following link: Which browsers work with office for the web .

“Office 365 and Office 2019 are designed to work with the current version of the Safari, Chrome, and Firefox browsers.”

To log into your Office 365 account, go to Office365 Outlook Web App.

Internet Explorer

To find the browser version on your computer

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Click the Wheel Icon (Tools) on the top left corner
  3. Click About Internet Explorer
  4. To update a personal computer, please run Windows Updates
  5. To update a state-owned computer, please use Software Center

Safari

To find the browser version on your computer

  1. Open Safari
  2. Click the word 'Safari' at the top left hand corner
  3. Click About Safari
  4. To update your version of Safari, perform a software update for your Mac operating system
  5. To update a state-owned Mac, please use Managed Software Center or contact your college technician

Firefox

To find the browser version on your computer

  1. Click Menu (three horizonal lines) in the top left-hand corner of the window
  2. Click Help 
  3. Click About Firefox
  4. To update a personal computer, please run Windows Updates or Software Updates (Mac).
  5. To update a state-owned computer, please use Software Center (Windows) or Managed Software Center (Mac).

Chrome

To find the browser version on your computer

  1. Click the Customize icon in the upper right-hand corner of the window (it looks like three horizontal lines stacked on top of one another).
  2. Hover your mouse pointer over the Help button
  3. Click About Google Chrome
  4. To update a personal computer, please run Windows Updates or Software Updates (Mac).
