How to Update your Last Name in your Email if it's Changed


How can I update my last name in my email if its changed?



  • See Records/Registration for a name change.
  • Once the name has been updated in the system you should see a new contact card under your StarID profile by selecting the O365 contact tab.
  • If you do not see an updated email address to select from please contact HuskyTech.



  • Please visit
  • Click on Ask HR
    • Select Current Employee Questions
    • Select "Other HR questions"
    • And then Get help/Ask HR on the right button 
    • Fill out the Service Request form to request your Legal Name change
  • After the top step is completed. HR will run a script that will automatically search for any possible alias using the new name requested.

  • After the alias is created then
