Printing Instructions (Secure Print)

Introduction

SCSU offers a fleet of modern multifunction printers that use secure print release. With this system, documents are sent to a cloud-based print queue and can be released at a networked campus printer using either a mobile app or a passcode (no mobile app required). This article provides instructions for submitting print jobs to the cloud print queue and securely releasing them at a printer.

Release Print Job(s) at Networked Printer

Option 1: Securely release using passcode

  1. Enter your Pharos-issued passcode onto the printer's touchscreen.
    1. If you have forgotten your passcode, reset it to obtain a new one.
  2. If you have multiple points group/accounts (e.g. student account and a student organization account), you may need to select which group/account you wish to print from. Faculty and staff generally will not have a points group/account, so the groups/accounts may show as "None Available." Most individuals can skip this step and move onto Step 3.
  3. Select "Print All" to release all documents in your queue, or select "Review Documents" to select individual documents to review (including modifying finishing options) and then "Print".
