  • Benefits of the Zoom phone service include but are not limited to: 
    • Softphone services - removes the requirement to have a physical desk phone and allows employees to answer calls on their laptop, mobile device and more 
    • Physical desk phones are available for those who prefer or need a physical phone 
    • Cloud-based phone system, which is easier to maintain and upgrade
    • Improved capabilities to make and receive calls and messages when working away from their desk
    • Modern features to help improve communications, such as texting from work phone numbers
    • Ability to text internal and external customers from their work phone number
    • Ability to access Zoom phone services from SCSU-owned and personal devices
    • Uses the same application/interface that employees are already familiar with for Zoom meetings/webinars
    • Improved safety features with enhanced location accuracy
