Viewing, Setting and Resetting Voicemail PIN on Zoom Phone

Introduction

Employees using a physical phone with the Zoom Phone service can set a voicemail pin to check voicemails using the physical phone. This article describes provides instructions for viewing, setting and resetting voicemail PINs on Zoom Phones from the Minnesota State Zoom web portal. 

*Please note that St. Cloud State University is currently in the process of transitioning all employees from the current phone system to the Zoom phone service between December 2022 and June 2023. During this change, most employees will move from a physical desk phone to a softphone (virtual phone on their computer) and a headset. Physical phones will be distributed to a very limited number of areas/people based upon need (e.g. shared physical phones, accessibility needs). As our campus moves to this modernized phone system, we encourage all employees who can utilize a headset for Zoom Phone calls to do so. For employees who prefer, but do not require a physical phone (e.g. no shared physical phone or accessibility needs), departments may purchase physical phones at the full purchase price as a departmental charge. This article applies only to those who have been moved to the Zoom phone service. Instructions

  1. Sign into the Minnesota State Zoom web portal (https://minnstate.zoom.us/) using your employee StarID credentials. 
  2. On the left-side navigation menu, select "Phone". 
  3. On the top navigation bar, select "Settings". 
  4. Scroll down to the "Desk phone" section, then find "PIN Code."
  5. Select "View or Edit" next to PIN Code to show your PIN Code. If you are just viewing your PIN Code, you can select cancel to keep the same PIN Code. If you want to change the PIN Code, enter in the desired PIN Code then select "Save". Please note PIN Codes should be 6-20 characters. If you change your PIN Code, you should receive an email to your work email account from Zoom notifying you of the change and verifying the number.
