Telework IT Resources for Faculty and Staff

Remote Access

The following IT resources are available for faculty and staff from anywhere with an Internet connection:

• Zoom Phone Service, provides call forwarding, voicemail, and SMS messaging.
• D2L Brightspace, is our learning management system with communication, collaboration, and teaching features.
• Office365 offers a suite of Microsoft applications such as Outlook (email), OneDrive for Business, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more.
• Microsoft Teams, a collaboration and Storage Solution with conferencing capabilities (can be used to connect with Minnesota State students, faculty, and staff).
• Zoom, is a web conferencing tool that can be used to teach classes or host online meetings (can be used to connect with the Minnesota State community and beyond).
• MediaSpace, a tool for the creation and distribution of video and audio (also includes Kaltura Personal Capture, a desktop recording and capture tool).
• MoveIt Securely is a service that allows you to securely transfer files with Minnesota State community members and beyond.
• Adobe Creative Cloud, access for faculty and staff to Abobe software.
• SCSU Knowledgebase, a searchable database with many user guides. 

Specialty lab software

• Check the software listing for the availability of most software.
• Many software packages that are in labs on campus are also available through AppsAnywhere

Campus Software (available on state-owned devices)

• Company Portal (University-owned Windows devices), allows you to install specific software. 
• SCSU Self-Service (University-owned Mac devices), allows you to manage specific software and computer settings conveniently.

Employee Remote Desktop (ERD, available for University Employees on both University-Owned Devices), provides access to certain secure resources while off campus, including ISRS Uniface, Perceptive Experience (web version of ImageNow), Web Accounting, Marketplace, BlueZone, CAP server, etc.
