Remote Access
The following IT resources are available for faculty and staff from anywhere with an Internet connection:
- Call forwarding, allows your desk phone to automatically transfer calls to a personal number you set.
- Voicemail, provides a few different options on how you can retrieve your voicemails either on or off campus.
- D2L Brightspace, our learning management system with communication, collaboration and teaching features.
- Office365, offers a suite of Microsoft applications such as Outlook (email), OneDrive for Business, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more.
- Microsoft Teams, a collaboration tool with conferencing capabilities (can be used to connect with Minnesota State students, faculty and staff).
- Zoom, a web conferencing tool that can be used to teach classes or host online meetings (can be used to connect with the Minnesota State community and beyond).
- MediaSpace, a tool for the creation and distribution of video and audio (also includes Kaltura Personal Capture, a desktop recording and capture tool).
- MoveIt Securely, a service that allows you to securely transfer files with Minnesota State community members and beyond.
- Adobe Creative Cloud, access for faculty and staff to Abobe software.
- AppsAnywhere, a program that allows you to access campus software from your personal computer.
- File/Web Space, offers file and web space access on and off campus.
- SCSU Knowledgebase, searchable database with many user guides.
Specialty lab software
- Check the software listing for availability of most software.
- Many software packages that are in labs on campus are also available through either AppsAnywhere or for download through OnTheHub.
Campus Software (available on state-owned devices)
- Software Center (University-owned Windows devices), allows you to manage certain software and computer settings at your convenience.
- SCSU Self-Service (University-owned Mac devices), allows you to manage certain software and computer settings at your convenience.
